G2 Esports’ League of Legends player Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski sent a message to Riot Games to not go through with buffs to Sejuani.

The jungler has just helped G2 advance to a 4-0 winning streak in the 2020 LEC Spring Split after a dominant win against Origen. After a game with Lee Sin, Jankos sat down for a post-game interview.

Jankos doesn’t want to see Sejuani buffs any time soon

While Eefje “Sjokz” Depoortere was asking him questions related to the game he had just played, Jankos turned towards the camera to share an open message to Riot instead of answering. Holding his hands together, he begged the developer to stop the planned buff to Sejuani.

“Please, don’t buff Sejuani. Just don’t do it,” Jankos said. “Sejuani in the current state is actually a playable jungler. You buffed her HP so she can rush Warmog’s, have a lot of damage, and be unkillable again. So if you buff her furthermore, I think she might be really OP, and I feel like she’s not really friendly for the meta.”

Jankos’ open letter comes as a reaction to announced changes for patch 10.3. Sejuani finds herself on a long list of units ready for balance changes together with Sett, Yuumi, Aphelios, and many more.

Buff to Sejuani’s attack speed coming with patch 10.3

Riot is planning on buffing Sejuani’s attack speed, though her passive is getting slightly toned down. With a 10% attack speed bonus at level one, the Iceborn will have faster jungle clear and will be able to deal more damage to enemies. As Jankos feels her damage is already adequate, especially given how tanky she is, Sejuani dealing that damage at a higher frequency does sound very powerful.

Jankos knows what he’s talking about when it comes to the jungle champion. Sejuani was often his favored pick during the 2019 LEC Summer Split, especially during the playoffs. Though this isn’t the case at this year’s split as the meta turned towards more mobile champions, the next patch might bring a change.

Patch 10.3 is scheduled to go live on February 5.
