Honkai: Star Rail has been out for a couple of months, and it has maintained a committed player base. If you are interested in this genre, you might be wondering, is Honkai Star Rail on PS5 and other consoles?
In the game, players take on the role of the Trailblazer, a character that wakes up with no memory aboard a space station. The Trailblazer meets the Astral Express crew and joins them as they travel through space, helping others.
The game takes place in three different locations. Herta Space Station is the station where the character wakes up. Jarilo-VI, a planet ravaged by the Eternal Freeze, and Xianzhou Luofu, a flagship that is part of the Xianzhou Alliance.
Honkai: Star Rail on console
Upon release, Honkai: Star Rail was available for iOS, Android, and PC. These are the standard platforms for gacha games. It was announced, however, that Honkai: Star Rail would be available for PS5. The date of the release is yet to be confirmed.
Releasing the game for PlayStation might take some time. Genshin Impact released the PlayStation 5 version of the game seven months after the original release. This short window makes sense, considering the game was previously available for PlayStation 4. The same cannot be said about Honkai: Star Rail.
New platforms take time. Genshin Impact revealed it was working on a Nintendo Switch version of the game back in 2020. In 2022, that version of the game is still in development without a confirmed release date.
The time frame for a PlayStation 5 release for Honkai: Star Rail is anywhere between six months and a couple of years. The game is still in its early stages,
with only two updates out.
