Influencer Mama Boy arrested, facing rape charges
A Korean YouTuber, Seo Won Joeng, was arrested on sexual assault charges and fans have been left devastated.
Seo Won Joeng, who is known online as ox_zung or Mama Boy, has been arrested after it was reported that he and another man sexually assaulted an intoxicated woman. The incident took place in July, according to Korean reports, which explains why he hasn’t been online since July 22.

Mama Boy has gained a massive following online. On YouTube he has 10 million subscribers and there are 55 million more followers on TikTok, making him one of the top 20 most-followed accounts on the app.
Despite his innocent persona on social media and being known for saying “mama” in a high-pitched voice, fans have been flocking to his older videos to post their disappointment after finding out what Mama Boy had done earlier this year.
According to a news report, Joeng and another man picked up an intoxicated woman, brought her to a friend’s home, and then sexually assaulted her “until she regained consciousness.” The two men were arrested earlier this month and were charged with rape. He was also charged with illegal filming but there was not enough evidence and this was dropped.
Mama Boy could face up to seven years in prison if found guilty of the remaining serious charges.
