The second rerun banner of Genshin Impact 2.2 is almost here.

Hu Tao is the next five star character banner for Genshin Impact 2.2. Her banner Moment of Bloom features three coveted four stars, including the debut of fellow Pyro spear-user Thoma. The new set of wishes include a new weapon banner with the return of Staff of Homa. Hu Tao will become available right after Halloween, which fits with her macabre personality and association with the dead.

Hu Tao is a main DPS character who relies on her elemental skill Guide to Afterlife. She sacrifices a chunk of her HP to imbue her spear with Pyro, granting a massive damage increase. Her charged attacks then apply the Blood Blossom effect, dealing heavy damage over time. Hu Tao is a great main DPS character, but she needs the right team to truly unlock her potential. Luckily, the Hu Tao banner four stars are an excellent fit.

Hu Tao banner four stars

In addition to Hu Tao herself, Moment of Bloom will feature three popularly requested four-stars. The most exciting is Thoma, who will debut with a rate up. Thoma is a Pyro shielder whose abilities synergize very well with Hu Tao. His elemental burst Crimson Ooyoroi create Pyro reactions with the active character’s attacks and resummons his Pyro shield.

Sayu is one of the game’s newest characters. The short shinobi is an Anemo claymore-user whose passive makes Crystalfly farming a breeze. Diona is the only Cryo shielder in the game, giving her an important niche. Both characters’ last rate up banner was Yoimiya, so the Hu Tao banner is a great opportunity to collect some constellations.

Staff of Homa returns with new five star bow

Every rate up five star comes with a weapon banner featuring their best weapon, and Hu Tao is no exception. Staff of Homa returns as one of two five-star weapons. Homa is one of the best weapons in the game thanks to its generous HP scaling and innate crit damage. Even if you’re not interested in Hu Tao herself, Staff of Homa is a good investment for Zhongli, Xiangling, and any other polearm character.

Elegy for the End is a new five-star with very high base attack and built-in energy recharge and elemental mastery. Hitting enemies with abilities generates Sigils of Remembrance. When available, four stacks are automatically converted to 100 elemental mastery and 20% attack to the active character for twelve seconds. Elegy for the End is an excellent weapon for any bow support like Venti, Fischl, or Aloy.

Keep in mind that you won’t be able to get these weapons by wishing for Hu Tao on Moment of Bloom. You’ll need to pull on the Epitome Invocation weapon banner. The reduced pity cap of 80 will make it slightly easier to get what you want. Remember to set your Epitome Invocation to your desired five star weapon before you start pulling.
