Hogwarts Legacy has many landmarks from the Harry Potter series that players would die to visit, but Azkaban is in a league of its own. What if we tell you it’s possible to explore the horrific prison?

Azkaban is a high-security prison in the Harry Potter series, located on an island in the North Sea. Known for its harsh conditions, Azkaban is a nightmare for dark wizards. Dementors suck out happy emotions and leave prisoners in a state of despair, causing extreme psychological distress to them over the years. Sirius Black was likely the only sane person who came out of Azkaban.

For all these horrible reasons, Potterheads can’t help but be curious. Unfortunately, Azkaban isn’t accessible to everyone.

How to visit Azkaban in Hogwarts Legacy

Azkaban Hogwarts Legacy

Hogwarts Legacy’s Prisoner of Love is the most popular unique quest among the players, as it involves a trip to Azkaban. It’s worth noting that it’s the only way to visit the infamous jail, which means you must be a Hufflepuff to visit the dementors.

All players must meet the ghost of a student named Richard Jackdaw as one of the initial quests, who’ll help find missing pages from a book acquired earlier. Once you find him, the story unfolds the same way for all. But the unique house quests change how you meet Jackdaw.

Hufflepuff quest: Prisoner of Love

Hufflepuff’s quest begins when players receive a letter from Lenora Everleigh stating that Eldritch Diggory wants to speak to them. Eldritch believes that you can aid him in resolving a long-standing murder mystery. As a trade-off for your support in uncovering the truth behind the crime, Eldritch has proposed to assist you in finding missing pages from a book acquired earlier.

Next, you’ll visit Eldritch Diggory’s niece Helen Thislewood in her cottage to inquire about Richard Jackdaw. She’ll reveal that a girl named Anne was wrongly convicted of the murder of Richard Jackdaw and is now serving a sentence in Azkaban. In order to find out Richard’s whereabouts, you’ll be apparated to Azkaban.

At Azkaban, a dark battle will unfold when Dementors try to restrict you. Luckily, you’ll have Helen, who’ll fight them off with her Patronus. After this episode, you’ll talk to Anne, who’ll direct you toward some ruins in Upper Hogsfield.

Back in Hogsfield, you will follow the marker to the ruins alone. Once you get there, you’ll be presented with a puzzle. After solving the puzzle, players can meet Richard Jackdaw’s ghost, who’ll guide you toward the missing pages near his remains.

That’s the only way players can visit Azkaban in Hogwarts Legacy. Hufflepuff is currently the least-picked and least popular house in Hogwarts Legacy, but this quest will surely make it an attractive option.
