Valorant Episode 3 Act 3 is finally wrapping up, which means players will soon get rewarded with an act rank gun buddy and brand new in-game cosmetics.
A new Valorant act is just around the corner. Players now have limited time to grind through their battle pass and reach their peak rank before everything locks. The developer will turn off matchmaking just a few hours before the next act begins, rewarding players with a souvenir for Episode 3.
At the end of each episode, Riot Games rewards players with a small token of gratitude that portrays each player’s peak rank. For example, if you reached Diamond 3 in Episode 3, you’ll receive a purple souvenir with EP 3 stamped on it. Players can flex their latest act rank on their weapons while grinding for a new badge.
Your overall performance throughout the game determines your act rank. Valorant has a pyramid filled with tiny triangles by the end of the episode. Each triangle within the pyramid represents a ranked match win, with the triangle at the top representing your proven skill and your Act Rank. The border that surrounds the pyramid is your Act Rank Border. When you peak a rank at the last date of an episode, Riot Games locks it to create a gun buddy for the next episode.
Getting an act rank gun buddy in Valorant is pretty simple. All you have to do is close your game before the new act begins and log back in. Go into your collection and click on any weapon. Select gun buddies from the tab, and you should find a sparkling new gun charm in your last rank badge colors. Click on equip to hand this trinket on your weapon.
Episode 3 Act 3 will end on January 11, which means the new episode should begin on January 12.
Ranked queues will shut down to welcome brand new agent Neon to the Valorant protocol along with a new battle pass and a new gun bundle. Agent 19 is expected to switch up the game meta with her electric kit and fresh mobility tactics.
