Pokemon Go has an Eevee evolution for every taste. From the classic Jolteon to the mysterious Umbreon, all are available. One of the most-wanted, however, is Sylveon.
Sylveon is one of eight possible Eevee evolutions or Eeveelutions as fans call them. Sylveon is part of Pokemon’s sixth generation and could be first found in Pokemon X and Y. The number 700 in the Pokedex is a fairy type. Despite its delicate appearance, according to official data, 87.5% of Sylveon are male and 12.5% are female.
Pokemon Go added Sylveon on May 2021, to celebrate the Luminous Legends Y event.
Eevee evolutions can be found in the wild but these are rare sightings with a low chance of happening. The best way to secure a Sylveon is by evolving an Eevee.
There are two ways to get the Eeveelution you desire. The first one is by changing the nickname of your Eevee. To get a Sylveon, nickname it Kira and the evolution button will change from a question mark to the shape of Sylveon. To complete the evolution, trainers will need 25 Eevee candies and Stardust. The candies are granted when you capture an Eevee, when you transfer it, or by selecting it as your buddy and walking.
The nickname trick only works once, regardless of the evolution, so choose wisely which Eevee you are turning into a Sylveon.
The second option requires grinding the game for some time. Trainers can get a Sylveon by reaching the Great Buddy level with a regular Eevee.
The first step is to pick Eevee as your buddy. Every 24 hours, trainers get to do activities with their buddies like playing together, battling, taking a snapshot, walking, and more. In total, a trainer can earn up to 12 hearts every day. The Great Buddy level is reached with 70 hearts.
