The Overwatch 2 beta has attracted loads of players back to the game but not everyone is able to participate. Now, Blizzard is offering a new way to get access to the Overwatch 2 PvP beta.
The Overwatch 2 community was first told about beta access in March with sign-ups on the official website. Then developers announced that Twitch drops were incoming, although watching four hours of Overwatch 2 streams didn’t guarantee access, either.
Now, eager fans can watch the Overwatch League for another opportunity to get into the Overwatch 2 beta. For players that want to see what the Overwatch 2 PvP beta is all about, there are 1,500 beta keys up for grabs every hour of the Overwatch League.
Overwatch players who didn’t get closed beta access on Twitch can head over to YouTube to watch the Overwatch League.
According to the official Overwatch League Twitter account, there will be 1,500 keys dropping every hour during the Overwatch League Season 5 opening weekend, which begins May 5.
To be eligible for the reward, make sure your Battle.net account is connected to your YouTube account. Then tune in to the action on May 5. It’s currently unclear if fans have to watch a certain amount of Overwatch League to unlock access to the beta keys but that doesn’t appear to be the case.
Connecting your Battle.net account to YouTube is very simple. Here is all you need to do to prepare for the Overwatch League beta key drops:
From there, you’ll see some instructions for finishing the process. Then all you have to do is watch the Overwatch League on May 5. This is the start of the Kickoff Clash, the first of four qualifying stages.
