How to download and play Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC

Hidden Treasure of Area Zero is the upcoming DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The DLC includes an early-purchase bonus that can be claimed before October 31, 2023.

Hidden Treasure of Area Zero is divided into two parts: The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk. The Teal Mask is scheduled for release on September 13, while The Indigo Disk will come out in Winter 2023.

The DLC is now available for purchase with a price tag of $34.99. The bundles are version-exclusive. Players must purchase the bundle according to the version of the game they own. If a player owns Pokemon Violet and acquires the Pokemon Scarlet bundle, it won’t work. This is an important consideration when purchasing the bundles.

Hidden Treasure of Area Zero early purchase bonus

While The Teal Mask is scheduled for release on September 13, the bonuses will be valid through October 31. Players will receive a Mystery Gift Code. This code grants a Hisuian Zoroark with a Dark Tera type. The Hisuian Zoroark has the Charismatic Mark and knows the Happy Hour move.

While the standard version of Zoroark is available in the Paldea Pokedex, the Hisuian version can only be obtained through the Mystery Gift Code. This Pokemon with these traits cannot be found in the wild in the game.

How to download Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC

Players must purchase the DLC through the Nintendo eShop based on the version of the game they own.

Once purchased, the game will update automatically once the different parts of the DLC become available. On September 13, as long as their device is on and connected to a network, The Teal Mask will download automatically. The same will happen when The Indigo Disk is released.

If players purchase the DLC after The Indigo Disk is released, both parts will download automatically.

In order to access the new content, players must complete the base story of the game. The Indigo Disk is only available once players complete the story of The Teal Mask.
