Valorant is a unique game, but it has a lot in common with Valve’s own FPS Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Both games have similar core gameplay, which is great because now you can convert your CSGO sensitivity to Valorant.

Valorant and CSGO have a lot in common, but both shooters are unique in their own way. While CSGO players may have difficulty adjusting to Valorant’s agent abilities, most FPS skills easily transfer from one game to the other. The two tactical shooters share almost identical gunplay with a need for careful aim, crosshair placement, and recoil control.

If you’re just switching to Valorant, here’s the method to convert your CSGO sensitivity to Valorant.

The mathematical way to convert CSGO sensitivity to Valorant is to use the following formula.

New Sensitivity = (CSGO Sensitivity / CSGO DPI) * (Valorant DPI / Valorant Sensitivity) * Conversion Factor

In this formula, CSGO Sensitivity is your current sensitivity in CSGO, CSGO DPI is your current mouse DPI in CSGO, Valorant DPI is your desired mouse DPI in Valorant, and Valorant sensitivity is your desired Sensitivity in Valorant.

The Conversion Factor is the rate by which you want to adjust your sensitivity to account for the difference between the games. The suggested Conversion Factors are:

  • 3.370 for converting 16:9 CSGO Sensitivity to 16:9 Valorant sensitivity (native to native)
  • 3.370 for converting 4:3 CSGO black bars (non-stretched) to 16:9 Valorant sensitivity (native to native)
  • 2.53 for converting 4:3 CSGO stretched to 16:9 Valorant sensitivity

Using the appropriate Conversion Factor, plug in your values for CSGO Sensitivity, CSGO DPI, Valorant DPI, and the desired Valorant Sensitivity into the formula to calculate your new sensitivity.

  1. Launch Valorant and enter the Settings menu.
  2. Under the General tab, find the Mouse subheading.
  3. Take note of the number next to “Sensitivity: Aim.”
  4. Multiply this number by 3.18 to get your CSGO sensitivity.

This simple calculation provides an easy and accurate way to convert your Valorant sensitivity to CSGO. By following these steps, you can ensure that your aim remains consistent across both games.
