Before spending on gaming equipment or virtual skins, it’s best to examine each pricey item in real-time. But how do you inspect a CS2 skin when you haven’t yet purchased it?
Counter-Strike 2 skins are worth their weight in gold, and only those who are truly passionate about virtual items would ever splurge on rare items. If you’re careful with your money but want to treat yourself to a pricey CS2 item, you probably want to take a look at it in-game before you finalize a skin. Inspecting skins in CS2 that you don’t yet own is possible.
To do that, you only need to have CS2 installed, and that’s it. Here’s how to do it.
How to inspect CS2 skins
CS2 skin inspection is simple if the rare skin’s owner’s inventory is public. To do that, pick a skin you want to inspect and follow these steps:
Find the skin owner’s
Steam
account and go to their CS2 inventory
Scroll until you find the skin you wish to inspect
Click on the skin
Now, right-click on the inspect in-game icon under the skin and copy the link address
Next, start CS2 and enable the console from game settings
Press the tilde (~) to open the console and paste the inspect skin link here
Here, you need to tailor the link to make it console-friendly. To do that:
Remove all text before “csgo_econ_action…” and remove “%20” next to the preview from the link
Press enter to inspect your dream CS2 skin
You can use your cursor to view the skin from all angles. Additionally, you can change the background, inspect angles, and even see the skin in a first-person view to visualize how it would look once you purchase it.
If you have some extra fancy
CS2 agent skins
in your inventory, you can even have them hold the skin for you.
