Here's how to find the full Unown alphabet in Pokemon BDSP

While it’s always been a quirky Pokemon, Unown has taken on renewed relevance over the last year.

In both Pokemon Legends: Arceus and Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, the Symbol Pokemon Unown was given a special place in the game. Pokemon Legends: Arceus saw Unown and Spiritomb at the center of different collection quests. But Pokemon BDSP goes in a very different direction.

Instead of being a collect-a-thon, Unown is the centerpiece of its own unique area with an extra side quest to boot. Here’s where to find Unown in Pokemon BDSP, and how to complete the Unown Alphabet.

Unown is found in the Solaceon Ruins in Pokemon BDSP

Most forms of Unown are found in the Solaceon Ruins in Pokemon BDSP. The Solaceon Ruins are found along the eastern edge of Solaceon Town, with the ruins effectively being a series of hallways with four exits. Most of these hallways have four exits.

Players need to follow a specific path through the ruins in order to find each letter of Unown. Each hallway and each individual room connected to them has a unique Unown letter. These Unowns will appear as regular wild encounters.

The path through the Solaceon Ruins is taking each of these exits through each hallway:

  1. Top Right
  2. Bottom Left
  3. Top Right
  4. Top Left
  5. Top Left
  6. Bottom Left

The Unowns found in each of these hallways will spell out “FRIEND.” The remaining 20 letters of the alphabet can be found in the rooms attached to these hallways.

After catching all 26 letters of the alphabet, an exclamation point and question mark Unown can also be caught. Pokemon BDSP players can find these particular Unown in the cave along Route 214.

After catching all 26 letters, long tunnel will appear in the cave that connects to a separate chamber of the Solaceon Ruins. This chamber contains the two punctuation mark Unowns, allowing players to complete their collection.
