Epic Games has rolled out a brand new weapon dubbed the Plasma Cannon to the Invasion in Chapter 2 Season 7.
Fortnite’s arsenal hasn’t seen a notable update in a long time. The developer has finally decided to surprise its fans with a new alien tech in its v17.21 mini-update released on July 27. The sleek Plasma Cannon is tiny, but it’s capable of insane damage.Â
The Battle Royale’s v17.20 update that came on July 20 with minor tweaks was a bit of a letdown for fans. Epic Games has made up for the previous subpar patch by adding a brand new futuristic weapon to the loadout. The pint-sized cannon is the new instrument of war capable of tearing down skyscrapers.Â
The Plasma Cannon has enough energy to fire five plasma balls that will instantly annihilate enemies upon contact. An electrical dome will surround them as they slowly move forward, heavily damaging enemies who get caught in its range. Players will deal 33 damage, and the damage potential is high due to the slow speed of these energy balls.Â
The Plasma Cannon is an absolute menace to structures. The weapon renders 550 damage to solid objects, making it an ideal piece to carry around for support. The gun is not recommended to rely on in aim duels.
The futuristic Plasma Cannon isn’t easy to get a hold of. The weapon can be found in IO Chests located at IO Bases across the map, but getting there safely is no small feat. You will have to defeat the IO Guards, but they’re rare spawns, so don’t expect to come across many of them. Luckily, the Plasma Cannon can be crafted in addition to being found. Because the IO used Alien technology to invent it, it can be prepared by combining a Legendary Pistol with an Alien Nanite.
To craft a cannon, you must have a legendary Pistol and One Alien Nanite. The latter item is rare, so creating a Plasma Cannon may be more complicated than finding one. Once you have both the items, the real fun begins. Go to your crafting menu and fuse them up to create your handmade Plasma Cannon.Â
