A new Pokemon made its official debut in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. This Pokemon was featured on the first episode of the new Pokemon show.

The Paldea Pokedex keeps expanding, this time with the addition of a new Pokemon. On this occasion, it is a bejeweled turtle Pokemon that appears on the Pokemon TV show and made it to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

We don’t know much about this new Pokemon yet, its name hasn’t been released yet. The one thing we know for sure is that it shares a connection with Liko’s pendant. This pendant is more than just a shiny piece of jewelry, it is an artifact of mysterious origins and the center of Liko’s story in the show.

Some fans have speculated that this new Pokemon might be related to Terapagos, the mascot for The Indigo Disk, the second The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC. Terapagos resembles a turtle with a shell made of crystals, each crystal includes the symbol for one of the different Pokemon types.

According to the Area Zero journals and the Scarlet Book/Violet Book, Terapagos might be responsible for the Terastal phenomenon. This is a major feature in the Paldea region and the one thing that makes it so unique.

The new Pokemon in the show might be Terapagos’ pre-evolution, and it might evolve into it with help from Liko. More information about this Pokemon will be revealed in the weeks to come as more episodes premiere. We will know more about Terapagos when the new Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC drops.

When is the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC coming out?

The Indigo Disk is the name for the second Scarlet and Violet DLC. It is scheduled for release in winter 2023.

The second DLC follows The Teal Mask, so players must complete both the basic game and the first DLC to access The Indigo Disk. In this part of the story, players will be traveling to sister school Blueberry Academy as exchange students.

This update will include Terapagos and over 100 Pokemon from previous generations, including Seel and Metagross.
