Dignitas has announced some shuffles in its’ Counter Strike: Global Offensive roster with Halvor “vENdetta Gulestøl assuming the role of the head coach and Adam “Friberg Friberg taking over the position of in-game leader.

Dignitas has undergone a series of changes yet again following the news of Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund and Richard “Xizt” Landström’s benching. The two CSGO veterans were benched following a series of poor performances in online tournaments. Under xizt’s leadership, the team failed to bag any trophies and was struggling to make its way into the top 30 of most world rankings.

Soon after benching their two players, Dignitas implemented some significant changes in their managerial positions. The organization announced the news of reshuffles on Twitter with details in a YouTube video

Dignitas’ former analyst will be moving to the position of head coach effective immediately. Vendetta will be replacing Robin “fifflaren” Johansson, who serviced the American organization both on the managerial side and as a head coach. The former coach has been promoted to the position of VP of esports.

“I will be taking on a new position as the new VP of Esports for DIG! I’m really happy to have been given this incredible opportunity with regular hours!” Fiflaren said.

Fifflaren switches roles while Friberg moves to IGL for Dignitas

Fifflaren said that juggling between different responsibilities required herculean strength and would often get too hectic. The former head coach would wake up at 2AM local time in Los Angeles, act out his duties as a coach, and later conduct important meetings

The idea of these shuffles was originally pitched by Fifflaren. His routine might have propelled him to offer his position to Vendetta.

The organization kept three of the players that it acquired from the former NiP lineup before making further changes to its CSGO division. In xist’s absence, Friberg is the ideal pick for an IGL as the swede rifler has plenty of experience under his belt. The newly appointed IGL has previously led OpTic Gaming and Heroic CSGO lineup.

“Adam is a leader by example. He is going to surprise a lot of people as an in-game leader,” Vendetta said on Dignitas’ Off the record.

The changes in the team are in preparation for Flashpoint 2 as the event is just around the corner. The team still has two slots empty for riflers. Fifflaren said that the organization is on a lookout for two new players who will compete in Dignitas’ roster for future tournaments.

Here is the current Dignitas roster:
