Do not expect massive day one patch notes for Diablo 4. Associate Game Director Joseph Piepiora confirmed that minimal changes will be implemented on release day.
The highly anticipated Diablo 4 is now available for early access, and this version will remain for the time being. The current version is the same one used during the Server Slam, hosted on May 12, and the one scheduled to drop on June 6.
Players noticed massive improvements during the Server Slam, including but not limited to character progression and drops. According to the developers, the game is currently in a healthy state, but they are keeping their eyes open for any possible errors.
The unofficial patch notes compiled by Wowhead list Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, and Rogue as the four classes receiving some kind of buff during the early access period.
Ahead of its official release, players are sharing their early impressions, and not all of them are positive. Despite receiving high scores on almost every review website, fans are not entirely happy with the current state of the game.
The balances implemented during the final Server Slam were good but not enough to completely fix the gameplay issues in the game. Some players are unhappy with the high microtransactions prices.
Diablo 4 is already on the expensive side, with a price tag of $70 for the basic version of the game. The battle pass sells for an additional $10 or $25, depending on the tier. Considering the initial cost of the game, fans were surprised to discover the hefty prices of the cosmetics.
An armor set made to fit only one class is being sold for $28. On Reddit, users were quick to point out that these armor sets are more expensive than Overwatch 2 skins, which is a free-to-play game.
