Deft reach 1,500 kills in LCK, trails only Uzi on all-time list
DragonX
bot laner Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu has reached a huge new milestone after hitting 1,500 total kills in the LCK, and is now challenging the newly retired Jian “Uzi” Zi-Hao for the most kills by any League of Legends professional.
The record was set after a win against
KT Rolster, in which Deft managed to carry his team through a reverse sweep. Deft secured a total of 14 kills in the series, all of them coming in the final two games. The third game was a particularly great performance for Deft, as he managed to secure the deciding victory with an 11-2-3 score on Ezreal.

Not only has Deft been a killing machine in the LCK, he also managed to secure over 1,000 kills during the two years he played for
EDward Gaming
in the LPL. Deft was one of the first Korean stars to play in China back in 2014. Together with his teammates at EDG he managed to win the 2016 LPL Summer Split, as well as four Demacia Cup trophies.
Deft chases Uzi for all-time kill record in LoL
Deft is closing in on the most total kills by any professional player, currently sitting behind Uzi who has 2,617 kills throughout his career. Deft is now sitting at 2,527 kills, so as long as Deft continues playing at a high level in the near future it’s only a matter of time until he surpasses the legendary Chinese bot laner.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that these are the two players battling for the all-time kill record. Both players have been playing at the top tiers of League of Legends for many years and have always been in the discussion among the best bot laners in League of Legends history. Sadly, Uzi retired in May 2020 because of health issues, so he won’t be able to defend his record any further.
Deft has been known to play every sort of marksman with great skill, but Varus has been his biggest weapon with a total of 222 kills, followed by Ezreal with 210 kills. Deft has also managed to get over 100 kills with newer champions Xayah and Kalista.
DragonX will play their next game against Gen.G, where Deft will take a step closer to the all-time kill record.
