Cult of the Lamb and the universe of Don’t Starve Together are merging into a new experience. The update is now available for free in the Nintendo eShop.

The crossover between Cult of the Lamb and Don’t Starve Together is one that no one saw coming but somehow makes a lot of sense. The update includes elements unique to each game.

On Cult of the Lamb’s side, the update includes a new follower, new decoration items, and a new game mode.

Webber is the new follower ready to join the cult. To unlock Webber, kill the spiders you will see around the game world. There is a chance for a skull to spawn upon killing the spider. If it does, bury the skull in a grave, and Webber will emerge from it.

Unlocking Webber will give you access to the Penitence mode and the new decoration items. All of the items are straight from the Don’t Starve universe, including the Marble Tree, a Pig Head Flag, and a Science Machine.

The new Penitence mode is an interesting addition to the game. Players must start a new game and activate the Penitence mode. Two new mechanics, directly from the Don’t Starve universe, will be added. A hunger bar and a sleep bar will be visible in the top right corner.

When the bars get too low or completely empty, a timer will appear. As the timer counts back down, you will receive damage. If the health bar gets to zero, it is game over permanently. In this mode, the Webber follower can survive starvation.
