A well-known Counter-Strike: Global Offensive pro player has passed away.
Alex “FUSiON” Dincof died on January 3, 2022 at just 23 years old. Next month he would have turned 24. The details behind FUSiON’s passing remain unknown.
FUSiON was an Italian player who started competing in CSGO at just 17 years old. While Italy isn’t often on the map in esports, FUSiON had already competed on the international stage. In 2016, just year after he started playing at a high level, FUSiON joined the DOGES. He won his first LAN event shortly after.
The CSGO community was hit hard with the sudden and sad news. Fellow Italian CSGO player Bibu said that thinking of FUSiON passing had been making him cry. Others commented that it was sad to see a life taken so early, with FUSiON not even having a chance to reach the pinnacle of his esports dreams.
On FUSiON’s own Twitter account, the young pro recently tweeted about his upcoming matches. His death seems sudden and unexpected judging by FUSiON’s recent activity, making the news even more shocking for fellow members of the community.
The CSGO community was just recovering from the news of Kristina “Kika” Dukic passing. The semi-professional CSGO player and noted content creator was just 21 years old when she passed away. It’s been hinted that Kika may have taken her own life following a public spat with other notable personalities in the space, but her cause of death has not yet been made public.
