Crash Team Rumble was officially announced at The Game Awards 2022.
In October, fans of Crash Bandicoot were given some hints about a possible announcement at The Game Awards. Some content creators were
given hints from developers
about a highly anticipated competitive Crash game known as Wumpa League at that time. But it was never officially confirmed, leaving fans on the edge of their seats during The Game Awards.
At one point during the award show, it seemed like there had been a malfunction of some sort. But it was actually Crash himself clumsily dropping onto the stage. He then attempted to roll a world premiere trailer, but it comically wouldn’t start. Finally, fans of the classic series were able to see what was in store.
What is Crash Team Rumble?
Crash Team Rumble is a multiplayer game that has teams of four competing to get the most Wumpa fruit into their drop-off zone while defending the opponent’s drop-off zone at the same time. According to the official description of the game, players will “slide, smash, bump, and bash” their way to the highest score.

When is Crash Team Rumble coming out?
The competitive Crash game is set to launch in 2023. No specific date was given quite yet. It will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox consoles. It was not mentioned if it will be available on PC or Nintendo Switch, which means that probably won’t be the case at launch.
The response for Crash Team Rumble has been met with applause from fans. Many are excited to see their favorite Crash characters clashing in a team-based game, but some are hoping to see even more characters added as DLC. Some Crash fans joked that Crash Bandicoot had to make his own game after he
wasn’t given a spot on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s roster.
