The previously rumored transfer of CR4ZY’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster has turned out to be true.

The organization released a statement confirming that its successful squad is being sent to c0ntact Gaming.

“My first reaction was ‘there’s no way this is happening again.’ However, I also realized the opportunity for the players and decided this would be the best for them. I would never do anything to stop them from progressing in their career,” said CR4ZY CEO Antonio Meic in a statement obtained by HLTV.

CR4ZY plans to rebuild in CSGO with a “soon to be announced” roster. It is unclear who CR4ZY has in mind for their replacements. 1pv previously reported that the transfer was worth over $1.5 million.

c0ntact Gaming’s debut roster includes the following players:

c0ntact Gaming heads to ESL One Rio Major with CR4ZY pickup

While it may not be a familiar name, c0ntact Gaming is set to become a potent player in esports.

c0ntact is a European esports organization with ties to the Overwatch League’s Paris Eternal and Call of Duty League’s Paris Legion. Those two franchises are owned by the McCourt family, who also own the Olympique de Marseille football club.

The acquisition of the roster follows an influx of interest into Counter-Strike over recent months, which has seen a number of larger esports organizations either start or restart operations in the game. Other notable teams to get into CSGO over recent months include Gen.G, 100 Thieves, Evil Geniuses, and OG.

This will be c0ntact Gaming’s first foray into esports outside of Activision Blizzard’s franchised formats.

CR4ZY has been underwhelming over recent months. Though the team had a solid 2019, the organization transferred two players to G2 Esports and hasn’t been the same since. Despite that, c0ntact will take on CR4ZY’s spot in the upcoming ESL One Rio Major.

Odds are that c0ntact Gaming’s expansion won’t end here.
