Cloud9 is returning to competitive Fortnite with a brand new roster.

Joining Cloud9’s Fortnite team are three top tier Brazilian players and one of the most wanted free agents from the United States. The new team consists of Igor “drakoNz” Fernandes, Patrick “BlackoutZ” Babinski, Nicollas “Nicks” Polonio de Oliveira, and Skylar “snow” Baibinski.

Snow, the only player from the US, qualified for the 2019 Fornite World Cup Finals in the first week of the qualifiers and is considered to be one of the best duo players in the world.

Patrick, drakoNz, and Nicks come from Brazilian team W7M Gaming and have also qualified for the World Cup Finals.

Although only 13 years old, Nicks is one of the most talented Fortnite players in Brazil and is the only player in the region that has qualified for both the duo and solo tournaments, as he finished three out of ten weeks of qualifying play in first place.

Since the first week of the qualifiers, drakoNz has been placing in the top 25 of solos and has achieved high results as a duo player together with BlackoutZ. However, they will not have the opportunity to play together in the World Cup as drakoNz has qualified only as a solo player and will therefore proceed to the World Cup only in that category.

Cloud9’s previous Fortnite roster did not achieve top results. Brennan “Boss” Amiott, Jacob “Hysteria” Reiser, and Brody “Starke2k” Wellmaker have been released from the team and have been teamless since. Starke2k left the team in January this year, followed by Hysteria leaving in February and Boss around March.

The team is now looking to come back to the scene stronger than before. They have not yet announced which tournament the new roster will compete at first. Fans are sure to see them at the 2019 Fortnite World Cup Finals in New York from July 26, where they will be fighting for a share of a $30 million prize pool.
