Operation Shattered Web continues on with the start of week four and it’s going to delight any snipers out there.
The latest roundup of missions revolves around the AWP and the SSG 08 rifles. The two weapons are used in each of the missions, which allow players to earn up to six total stars. The stars earn credit towards the higher value rewards from Shattered Web, most notably the agent skins.
As per usual, the missions task players to try out Counter-Strike: Global Offensive’s many different game modes. The full list of missions includes:
Naturally, the easiest for most players will be Heaven Help Us, which tasks players with posting a reasonably good 10 rounds in a standard game of Train. Though it isn’t weapon-specific, Train is one of the more AWP-friendly maps in the current rotation and should be good for any players looking to flex their skills with scoped weapons. This is worth two stars, making it a great way to start the week.
Likely the trickiest mission this week is Scouting Mission, which tasks players with getting five kills with the scout in Danger Zone. While this is certainly doable with time, it’s hard to reliably acquire any specific weapon in Danger Zone for an extended period of time. Though this is worth three stars, it may require more time than doing any two of the other missions to reach this tally.
The other three-star mission is getting 20 scout kills in a single Deathmatch game. Hitting that tally with a conventional weapon wouldn’t necessarily be easy, but notching 20 kills with the scout in the always hectic Deathmatch mode is a recipe for frustration.
Past that are the usual roundup of alternative game modes, with the exception of Wingman. Though Wingman has had a mission in each of the first three weeks, it was notably left out of the festivities here.
While these missions are attached to week four, they can be completed at any time before the end of Operation Shattered Web.
