Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 brings massive map changes

Call of Duty: Warzone and Warzone Mobile are getting a lot of new content in Season 4. Here are the latest changes coming to the battle royale.

Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 map updates

The same maps are available in Season 4, including Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep. But there are some key map changes that will switch up gameplay. This includes Urzikstan’s bunkers, which require a keycard to access for high level loot. Urzikstan will also have Gulag changes, including four variants:

Gulag “S”: Stacked equipment and L-shaped plywood walls with an S-shaped central wall over the circular floor grate
Gulag “2”: A three-panel curved wall, stacked equipment against two walled sections, and two curved inner walls above the circular floor grate
Gulag “3”: Stacked equipment against two walled sections, with concrete L-shaped walls around the central circular floor grate
Gulag “8”: A rectangular concrete barrier wall outside long central section around the central circular floor grate with one plywood wall sprayed with a blue “8”

Season 4 new modes

Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 will have multiple new modes to experience:

Buy Back Royale Solos: A returning mode that allows you to buy back your life if you are eliminated with cash.
Runaway Train: This mode is coming mid-season, with fights revolving around a moving train

Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 rewards

On top of new map updates and game modes, Warzone will have plenty of new content that will shake up gameplay. There are now five new challenge types arriving for Warzone players that want some exclusive rewards:

Economics: These offer rewards in return for looting and spending Cash at Buy Stations
Contracts: Unlock items for completing different types (and numbers) of Contracts
Social: Interact with enemy players or aid your team to secure more item rewards
Mode: Complete tasks in different game modes, from Battle Royale to Plunder to Resurgence
Champion’s Quest: Is a Champion’s Quest active in your game? Then check these Challenges out!

Specialist Perks

Urzikstan now offers the “legendary and most prized Perk possession,” the Specialist Perk. This ground loot will grant some interesting advantages:

Perk Slots 1 and 2 (all Perks active): Battle Hardened, Double Time, E.O.D., Focus, Irradiated, Mechanic, Mountaineer, Scavenger, Shrapnel, Sleight of Hand, Spotter, Strong Arm
Perk Slot 3 (all Perks active): Cold-Blooded, Escapist, Payout, Primed, Quick Fix, Resupply, Stalker, Survivor, Tempered, Tracker
Perk Slot 4 (all Perks active): Birdseye, Combat Scout, Flex, Ghost, High Alert, Resolute, Shrouded

New vehicle

This new vehicle, the Polaris RZR Pro R, is all about power and control. It’s a UTV that’s rugged and durable perfect for land mobility in Urzikstan. One thing that the patch notes highlight is the vehicle’s tight turning and handling.
