C9's Blaber says EG still not a threat after losing to them

Cloud9 just lost another LCS match, this time to Evil Geniuses.

After an almost spotless LCS Spring Split, the League of Legends community can’t help but speculate as to why Cloud9 has seemed a bit shaky these past couple of weeks. But Robert “Blaber” Huang told WIN.gg that there’s nothing to worry about just yet. C9 is still on top.

How are you feeling after the match today?

Blaber: I don’t feel great obviously, ’cause we lost. But there’s a lot to learn from this game. There’s a lot of things we could have done better, so I’m not too sad.

Are you not sad because you feel these are things that can be easily fixed?

Not easily fixed, but there’s a lot of things we can learn from this game.

We had a lot of bad rotations in the game. I had some poor team fighting for second dragon. If I went for Syndra it would have been really easy. I need to retake bot control earlier.

Who do you think are your biggest threats right now?

Team Liquid. We’re the same as them now I believe. They’re definitely in contention. Otherwise, I’m not really sure.

So Evil Geniuses is not a threat, even though they just took a game from you?

Maybe, but I don’t really think so. I just think we’re having a rough week. A rough couple of games.

Why do you think that is?

I’m not sure. But maybe we’re just playing too cocky or overaggressive compared to before. So we’re not really imporoving as much.

Do you think your team is doing worse, or that other teams have improved?

Well, I think [other teams] improved from last season. But I don’t think they’ve suddenly gotten a lot better in this last week. We’re just playing a lot worse right now.

Cloud9 confident about the rest of the 2020 LCS Summer Split

How do you think the match against FlyQuest will go tomorrow?

I think we’ll be fine. We’ll be able to win.

Why are you feeling confident in that prediction?

I mean, I’ve never gone 0-2 before and C9 hasn’t gone 0-2 in a while. Plus, we’re still good. We just played poorly today and EG played well.

We’re playing really bad right now but tomorrow will be better.

What are you guys going to be working on this week?

We’ll just work on playing safer I guess, and being more calculated in our plays.

Do you feel there’s added pressure because of how last split went?

I don’t think we feel very pressured. We’re just more trying to fix our current problems in this split.

Who are the top three teams in the LCS right now?

Probably us, TL, and TSM are the top three.
