BLAST Pro Series Global final teams, date, and prize pool set

The BLAST Pro Series Global Final will wrap up the first season of the BLAST Pro Series competitive circuit. The event features a number of top Counter-Strike: Global Offensive squads and also saw a number of huge moments take place, including the retirement of Natus Vincere star Danylo “Zeus” Teslenko and the end of Astralis’ 31-game winning streak on Nuke.

The circuit, which included six events hosted in cities including Los Angeles, Sao Paulo, and Moscow, will admit four teams to the Global Finals. There is a significant amount of money on the line, as well as the honor of being the inaugural champion of one of CSGO’s biggest emerging leagues.

BLAST Pro Series Finals location, date, prize pool information

The BLAST Pro Series Global Finals will take place in Bahrain. The event is scheduled to run from December 12 to 14.

The tournament format is a standard double-elimination bracket featuring four competing teams. Seeding will be determined by each team’s points from the BLAST Pro Series circuit. There will not be any group stage component to the event.

The prize pool for the event is set to be $500,000, with a top prize of $350,000. It has not yet been announced how the remaining portion of the prize pool will be allocated.

Astralis, Team Liquid, and FaZe Clan set to compete in BLAST Pro Series Finals

The BLAST Pro Series Finals competitors have been determined through teams’ performance in the BLAST Pro Series circuit.

The circuit is comprised of six tournaments, five of which have already taken place. It featured something akin to a league format with Astralis, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Team Liquid, Natus Vincere, FaZe Clan, MiBR, and Cloud9 all serving as official members of the circuit. Each member of the circuit is only allowed to play in four of the six events.

Only official members of the circuit were allowed to qualify for the BLAST Pro Series Finals. Because of this, ENCE was not admitted to the finals despite the fact the team should have earned enough points to qualify through its performances at BLAST Pro Series Sao Paulo, Miami, and Moscow.

Team Liquid, Astralis, and FaZe Clan are mathematically guaranteed a spot in the BLAST Pro Series Finals based on wins in other events. The final participant will be determined at the final event of the circuit, BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen. Six of the seven teams will be competing at the event, with MiBR being disallowed after already competing in four prior events.

Ninjas in Pyjamas is very well positioned to earn the final spot, and will mathematically guarantee it with a fifth-place finish or better. Cloud9 and Natus Vincere could challenge them for the spot, but would need NiP to finish last and while either Cloud9 or Na’Vi take first place themselves in order to initiate a tiebreaker.
