Arcane set to have crossover event with PUBG Mobile, Fortnite

League of Legends’ upcoming animated series Arcane was already set to take over one battle royale title, but it seems like it’s going to be taking over even more than that.

PUBG Mobile released a tease for an upcoming collaboration. It shows four silhouettes on the ground with the tease that someone is set to invade the world of PUBG Mobile.

Though it wasn’t made explicit who these individuals are, League of Legends fans were able to quickly point out that the shadows belong to champions Jinx, Vi, Jayce, and Caitlyn. That quartet is set up to be major characters in the upcoming Arcane series, which likely means this is set to be a promotion for the show specifically, rather than the entirety of League of Legends.

The tease from PUBG Mobile comes shortly after rumors began swirling around a possible collaboration between Fortnite and Arcane. The collaboration will supposedly see Jinx join the incredibly large cast of characters available in Fortnite.

It’s unclear what might be included in the PUBG Mobile x Arcane crossover. Character and weapon skins both seem likely, given the easily identifiable characters and the unignorable Jayce hammer shown in the image. There could be plenty more in store for what is effectively cross-branding between two Tencent-owned properties.

What is Arcane?

Arcane is an upcoming Netflix animated series based on League of Legends. It will highlight the region of Piltover and Zaun, two steampunk cities defined by a social hierarchy where the wealthy live in the lofty Piltover while the poor live underground in Zaun.

Arcane will include a number of League of Legends champions, but it seems as though the series will mostly follow Jinx and Vi. The two characters are sisters but had a falling out at some point, with Arcane likely to fill in the gaps regarding their backstories.

The show is set to arrive in three parts on Netflix. The first act drops on November 6 following the Worlds 2021 finals.

When are Jinx, Vi, Caitlyn, and Jayce coming to PUBG MOBILE?

The PUBG MOBILE X Arcane experience will launch on November 16, and it looks like players will be able to pick between Team Piltover and Team Zaun before going head-to-head in-game for cosmetics, rewards, and more. The collaboration between two of Tencent’s largest properties is a straightforwards win-win for the two properties of Arcane and PUBG.
