Arcana skins and Wukong mobility buffs in patch 12.7
League of Legends players are spoiled after a new patch drop that added brand new Arcana skins and buffs for 10 separate champions.
Patch 12.7 is being rolled out, bringing with it a bevy of new cosmetics with Arcana skins as well as some serious rebalancing efforts. Fans have complained that Riot Games has been too reticent to make large balance changes in recent patches, but patch 12.7 aims to fix those complaints.
From Gangplank to Neeko to Yasuo and Yone, tons of champions are getting buffs in this brand new patch.
Arcana Skins and buffs keep fans busy
Four new Arcana skins are hitting live servers, with tarot-inspired looks of crimson and gold for Ahri, Hecrim, Ryze, and the lover’s bot lane of Xayah and Rakan. Arcana has been one of Riot’s most popular recent designs, with the crisp red effects being an improvement to many fans both in terms of clarity and flare.
At the same time, a tone of champions who have fallen behind the pace set by their peers will be getting improvements to keep them competitive.
The full list of champions who will receive a buff is:
- Gangplank
- Gwen
- Kalista
- Karthus
- Lilia
- Neeko
- Pantheon
- Wukong
- Yusuo
- Yone
At the same time, some light changes to the Rengar rework from the last patch have made him less of a frightening split pusher. The Rengar changes are some of the most impactful, cutting his new Q’s damage against towers by a whopping 60%.
Rengar won’t be assassinating your structures quite as often come the new patch. His newfound success against champions won’t be lessened, but he won’t be able to demolish structures at record speeds with his newly auto-critting Q.
Wukong mobility improved with terrain scaling
Wukong received some of the most interesting buffs, with him now being able to cross terrain while using his clone-producing W. This was one of Wukong’s serious weaknesses, so being able to both dive over walls to engage fights, as well as escape over them, makes him far safer than he has been.
These changes are approaching the Mid-Season Invitational patch, which the first international event of the year will be played on.
