Apex Legends update 1.65 brings five new LTMs for War Games

“Everybody loves a little Mayhem.”

Apex Legends update 1.65 is dropping tomorrow, introducing five new limited-time game modes as part of the War Games event. Each game mode will be around for a few days before rotating to the next one, creating a chaotic and fun few weeks for Apex Legends fans looking to shake things up.

Say goodbye to your precious games—Salvo’s War Games are here instead. ????

The first game is Second Chance. This game will be first in the rotation. Each legend has one free respawn per match. When a legend is eliminated, their respawn token is consumed and they can rise again in their current location. They will even have all of their weapons and gear from before they were killed.

While Second Chance is active, players won’t be able to unlock certain badges that would be much too simple thanks to this chaotic game mode.

The second game is Ultra Zones. There will be multiple hot zones on the map, all containing epic loot and gold items. Each hot zone will also be enveloped in a Flash Point, a big, glowing bubble that replenishes players’ HP and shields when standing within them. With consumable items still available, this mode is bound to be hectic as players fight to stay in the hot zones for the extra health and powerful weapons.

Auto Banners is the third game. When a legend is killed, other players on the team will automatically receive their banner cards. That means there’s no reason to loot death boxes for the banner. Instead, teammates can rush to respawn beacons. There will also be more mobile respawn beacons available around the map.

Killing Time is one of the fastest events yet. Every time a legend dies, the round time is reduced. Continuously keep an eye on the round timer since the ring will probably close in fast during rounds where legends can’t seem to stay alive.

The last game is Armor Regen. Armor will regenerate over time at a rate of 12 points per second. Every time a legend takes damage, their armor will begin to regenerate after an eight-second delay. The delay is doubled to 16 seconds if the armor is depleted. There are no shield cells in the loot pool during this event.

Here are the specific dates:

Apex Legends Season 9 is set to begin on May 4. But before then, don’t expect a lot of balancing or new legends. Aside from the game modes, everything within Respawn’s battle royale will be relatively the same throughout Season 8.
