An additional organization has reportedly sold its slot in the League of Legends Championship Series in North America, according to host and commentator Daniel “dGon” Gonzales.Â
During an episode of the Facecheck League of Legends podcast between content creators dGon, Christian “IWillDominate” Rivera, and Nick “LS” De Cesare, it was revealed that an unnamed team had left the LCS alongside TSM, the latter of which confirmed its departure in May.Â
“On the topic that you’re talking about LS, about teams possibly selling, the rumor is that there is a team that is already sold,” he said. “There is a team that is already sold, and it’s just a matter of time.”Â

Although dGon did not confirm which team had left, LS said he hoped it would be Immortals.Â
However, the team that has departed LCS will likely be named soon. “I’m happy with who is going out,” dGon said, so it’s likely to be one of the smaller teams in the region, such as Dignitas or Immortals. But this remains speculation.Â
Members of the League community have added suspicion that Immortals is set to leave LCS since the organization parted ways with former jungler Shane “Kenvi” Espinoza alongside three members of the coaching staff last month, Mervin-Angelo “Dayos” Lachica, Richard “Draxyr” Yuan, and Jake “Xmithie” Puchero.Â
The most recent Split in the LCS was plagued with controversy following the decision to remove the requirement for LCS teams to field academy rosters. This led to several organizations, such as Cloud9, Dignitas, Immortals, TSM, and more shutting down the academy programs.Â
This change led to a strike from the LCS players in late May, disrupting the season’s start. However, the walkout failed to overturn the decision, and play resumed shortly after.
