The iconic horror video game franchise by Frictional Games, Amnesia, is getting a new installment in The Bunker, and it’s genuinely bloodcurdling.

Frictional Games has been delivering chilling horror games since 2010 when Amnesia: A Dark Descent was released. Mixing wild concepts with immersive storylines, the developer creates a horror spectacle every other year. Now, coming off the heels of Rebirth, Frictional Games is bringing Amnesia: The Bunker.

Get ready to be spooked because survival is getting ever more realistic in the latest installment of Amnesia. The terrifying video game breaks away from the typical horror genre, blending into a survival shooter. Amnesiacs will now get a weapon, but there’s a catch.

The newest Amnesia game has no set script thanks to a semi-open world style that will let players make a choice. The story revolves around a French soldier Henri Clément, who suffers from memory loss, and is stuck in a haunted bunker spattered with the blood of unknown creatures. An otherworldly being follows the protagonist, who must manage his stress and amnesia to make out unscathed.

Amnesia: The Bunker is set in a desolate underground chamber during the first World War. Frictional Games is still tight-lipped about the exact date. Rest assured, Amnesia: The Bunker is still months away from release. The game is slated for somewhere in March 2023.
