Much to the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive community’s excitement, Heretics have announced that David “devoduvek” Dobrosavljevic is officially a part of the team’s starting roster.

“I’m really grateful to be a part of the team,” devoduvek tweeted. “I haven’t felt this motivated for a very long time now. It’s time to prove my worth in the game. I’ll give everything to achieve great thins with the team.”

The signing has been rumored for some time, but the French team made the official announcement earlier today on Twitter. According to the post, this is the last addition to the organization’s CSGO team.

Heretics had previously announced the signings of Fabien “kioShiMa” Fiey and Lucas “Lucky” Chastang earlier this month. Heretics had called kioShiMa “the French legend” on Twitter, after the veteran aided G2 in securing a third-place finish at ESL One New York 2019 during his time as a stand-in.

Indeed, these were big roster additions for a team like Heretics, who are curently considered a mid or lower-tier pro team with just a 53 ranking on HLTV’s worldwide team listing. Heretics has yet to add any significant trophies to its case, but that could soon change.

devoduvek is another impressive signing for Heretics. The player has been competing in the pro scene since 2016, having previously played for Misfits and Team LDLC.

These three new players have replaced Heretic’s former core lineup. devoduvek has taken Logan “LOGAN” Corti’s place on the roster. Gaetan “JiNKZ” Jamin was released, while Jeremy “jeyN” Nguyen was moved to a backup position on the squad.

These major changes were made during the MDL Europe competition. Heretic currently have a 2-1 record this season, and are also on the team list for WePlay! Forget of Masters Season 2 and the European Champions Cup, where the French squad is currently in the Last Chance group stage.

Only time will tell if this new roster will boost their performance, or if such drastic changes mid-season will see them fumble.
