100 Thieves CEO Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag started his weekend by donating about $150,000 to his Twitter followers.

“Woke up today feeling grateful. What’s your cashtag?” Nadeshot tweeted out, urging Twitter users to give him their Cash App identifier for a chance to have some free moolah transfered to their accounts.

Nadeshot sent a screenshot of his $149,800 balance.

Unsurprisingly, the tweet received more than 40,000 replies. When fans began to screenshot their free gift from the CEO, the tweet continued to grow in popularity. This was really happening. Fans continued to send in their cashtag throughout the weekend.

While the amounts of money Nadeshot sent seemed to be random, the basic amount the lucky fans received was around a few hundred dollars. The highest single amount any recipient shared was $550.

Nadeshot is the founder of 100 Thieves, one of the most popular esports organizations in the world. 100 Thieves currently has contracted pro teams for League of Legends, Fortnite, and Call of Duty.

The organization’s League team placed a disappointing 10th in the LCS Spring Split this year after assembling a new roster full of star players.

100 Thieves were also one of the first teams to sign an Apex Legends roster.

From 2011 to 2015, Nadeshot was himself a successful Call of Duty competitor, eventually becoming the captain of OpTic Gaming’s team. He led the team to an X Games gold medal and a Call of Duty World Championship. He even was named Esports Athlete of the Year in 2014.

After retiring from competitive gaming, Nadeshot was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for his success as a content creator on Twitch and YouTube. He currently has over 1 million followers on Twitch.
