YouTuber ProJared cheats on wife, solicits nudes from underaged fans

Famous gaming YouTube content creator Jared “ProJared” Knabenbauer is in hot water both personally and professionally after the airing out of major scandals.

ProJared has been accused of sending nudes to and soliciting nudes from fans, two of whom have admitted they were underaged at the time. The allegations were first revealed by his wife, cosplayer Heidi O’Ferrall.

Before the fiasco, ProJared had over one million subscribers on YouTube, largely thanks to his top ten lists and trailer reactions. Being a public figure, ProJared issued a press release on his Twitter account that completely overlooked both his cheating and his illegal actions involving teenage girls.

The post gained him a lot of sympathy from his fans.

“Ah, Jared. I’m sorry to hear. I hope you’re both okay and I wish you well,” one follower said.

And then, just a few moments later, they changed their minds.

“Wait, I just read what happened. I take it back.”

After seeing the vague post and then being blocked by her husband, O’Ferrall decided to break her silence over the situation and post some tweets of her own. She revealed to her followers – and ultimately to ProJared’s as well – that her husband had been having an affair with streamer and “Dice, Camera, Action!” co-host Holly Conrad for months.

Even worse, despite having evidence of his cheating in the form of texts and photos, ProJared denied the affair when O’Ferrall confronted him. Instead, he continued to gaslight her for months, blaming her for being suspicious and claiming she was the reason for all of the marriage’s issues.

“His statement is nothing more than an attempt to silence me before I can reveal anything. I gave him the opportunity to make a statement about his infidelity before I did. I told him it would be less embarrassing for him if he was honest with his own friends first. He declined,” O’Ferrall said.

Meanwhile, Conrad had responded to ProJared’s pan divorce statement with, “I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I’m here if you need me.”

This tweet was later deleted, and her account is now set to private. But before she went private, Conrad had a statement of her own.

“I understand some shit is going down on the Internet. If you want to believe a hyperbolic statement from someone you don’t know on the Internet with no previous background information and use it to demonize strangers, so be it. This isn’t anyone’s business but theirs. If it’s worth anything, you all know me. I’d never hurt anyone and I only want the best and happiness for those around me. If you’ve followed me for a long time, you know that. Gonna get off twitter for a while.”

But then there’s the nudes

Once fans had learned the alleged story behind ProJared’s generic statement, many turned on him. His YouTube subscriber count currently sits at a little above 830,000. That’s thanks not only to the adultery, but the nudes he solicited from underaged fans.

What supposedly started off as a “joke on Tumblr” turned into something far sketchier, said O’Ferrall.

Since ProJared was a famous YouTube personality, O’Ferrall was pretty aware of nudes sent to him initially. But soon ProJared was creating a private account on Tumblr and a new Snapchat to obtain even more nudes from fans, without O’Ferrall’s knowledge.

When she found out, it made her uncomfortable, but ProJared pressured her to allow it.

“Any time I gave him an inch, he took a while,” she said.

Since O’Ferrall opened up about ProJared, several of his fans came forward to admit they had sent naked photos or received nudes from the YouTube personality. Two of the fans stated that they were 16 years old at the time of the incident.

“I used to think that among consenting adults, it was fine,” O’Ferrall said. “Now I see it as an abuse of power for him to intentionally manipulate anyone to show him their naked body on the basis that he’s a popular internet man. I would like to apologize for my role in enabling this.”
