XDefiant is the newest hero shooter and it’s currently getting a lot of hype from the FPS crowd. But does it compare with Call of Duty, Overwatch 2, and other popular shooters? Here’s the current XDefiant player count!
Ubisoft has released its long-awaited answer to the shooter genre. It features a lot of its popular IPs from Ubisoft’s collection, including factions and abilities inspired by Watch Dogs, Splinter Cell, and Far Cry. Has this concept been grabbing the attention of shooters?
XDefiant data is still being collected since the game is quite new. But when the game first came out, it had over 500,000 concurrent players on the first day. Then 48 hours later, there were 3 million unique players and 300,000 concurrent players.
To be honest, that’s a pretty fast and hard drop. But XDefiant isn’t cooked just yet.
XDefiant is still too new for Steam to track the player count. You can check out how many people are watching it on Twitch, however, with Stream Charts. It currently has over 25,000 viewers, meaning it’s still doing pretty well although the peak was more around 159,000 viewers.
Okay, maybe XDefiant isn’t maintaining the hype as much as Ubisoft hoped. The game has overall positive reviews but most gamers feel the game offers nothing new to the genre. It’s possible it’s just getting old.
