Gen.G is LCK’s number one seed at Worlds 2023. Want to watch them compete? When does Gen.G play? Here is the full schedule.

Gen.G qualified for Worlds 2023 as the first seed from the LCK after defeating T1 in the Summer Season finals. In 2023, Gen.G won back-to-back domestic titles and qualified for both Worlds 2023 and MSI 2023.

At MSI 2023, Gen.G had an underwhelming performance. Gen.G struggled against G2 Esports in round one of the Bracket Stage. In the second round, T1 took the victory, sending Gen.G to the loser’s bracket where it would ultimately be eliminated by BiliBili Gaming.

Gen.G has a talented roster that revolves around its rookie bot laner Kim “Peyz” Su-hwan. The team is methodical in its approach to the game and is not the type of squad that would engage in risky plays. Some would go as far as to call Gen.G a “boring” team that plays it safe.

Despite having two domestic titles in its pocket, Gen.G has something to prove at Worlds 2023. The team must prove it can succeed internationally and that it doesn’t need Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk to be number one in the world.

Gen.G Worlds 2023 schedule

Worlds 2023 brings a new format and a new schedule. As the number one seed from the LCK, Gen.G starts its Worlds 2023 journey on the Swiss Stage.

The schedule is divided into two days of competition, October 19 and October 20. The results from days one and two will determine Gen.G’s next match.

Round 3 will be played on:

Round 4 is taking place on:

Round 5 and the final chance to qualify for the quarterfinals will be played on October 29.

Assuming Gen.G makes it to the quarterfinals — a likely scenario — the squad would play between November 2 and November 5.

The semifinals will be played on November 11 and 12. The Worlds 2023 champion will be determined on November 19.
