Valorant's Act II Battlepass new melee weapon and skin line revealed
In just a few days, players will be able to get their hands on Valorant’s new skins.
Valorant’s skin lines are dialed in and each family has a theme that ties it together, and Act 2 is no different. Riot has doubled down on the idea for Valorant’s Episode 2: Act II Battlepass.
The next Valorant battlepass releases on March 2 with a ton of new items for players to collect, even if they don’t throw down the money for Riot’s upgraded pass.
This act’s most popular items are bound to be the battlepass’s paid options, with the Prism 3 set of Valorant skins grabbing the spotlight with its selection of melee variants. Valorant’s next act will ship with the game’s first set of variants for a melee weapon ever.

Prism 3’s Axe isn’t as cool as last year’s Prime model, but its four color options mean there is something for everyone. Riot said that it was exploring the idea of adding a variety of colors to Valorant’s melee weapons last year and it looks like they came through. Available in orange, green, purple, and pink, Prism’s Axe weapon will be incredibly popular, according to Valorant producer Preeti Khanolkar.
“With Prism III, we wanted to give players who don’t usually buy skins a chance to get their hands on the clean crispness of the Prism set. Adding color variants to Prism was also a fun way to give players more color options. I bet the bubblegum pink one will be popular, especially the Axe melee,” Khanolkar said.

Valorant’s Act II Battlepass has two more skin sets in addition to the Prisma 3. The first is the next edition of Episode one’s POLYfox line, this time featuring Split’s fan-favorite frog on the Marshall, Sheriff, Spectre, and Ares.
And players can dress the part now with Cavalier, a professional and sleek line available on the Bucky, Ghost, Operator, Stringer, and Vandal.

The rest of Act 2’s Battlepass has great items, too. There’s another entire season’s worth of player cards, sprays, and gunbuddies awaiting Valorant’s most dedicated players.

Finally, Act II’s Battlepass is solid for players who aren’t interested in paying for the game’s sometimes-expensive cosmetics. The Prism 3 skin line is on the BP’s free track, offering the set’s Classic pistol and its variants for thrift players.
As usual, the free track also awards a new player card in “VERSUS// Bind + Icebox” card and a new adorable gun buddy, “Good Boy, Bruno.” Who hasn’t wanted to have a smiling corgi hanging from their Vandal?
When is Valorant’s Episode 2 Act 2 battlepass release date?
Riot has announced that the Act 2 Battlepass will release on March 2. What time Riot rolls out Act 2 could change at any time, but Valorant’s patches usually come in early in the morning on the west coast of the United States. 6 a.m. is a good guess, meaning that the US’s east coast will see it around 9 a.m. while Europe should see it in the afternoon of March 3.
