Twitch bans Gross Gore for revenge porn, and it may be permanent

Streamer Ali “Gross Gore” Larsen is accusing Twitch of making a mistake after he was permanently banned for “adult sexual exploitation.”

Gross Gore received a Twitch ban on March 18, followed by his partner status being revoked. This usually means Twitch has plans to permanently remove the content creator from the platform. Twitch then sent a message to Gross Gore that said they were “indefinitely suspending” his account “after reviewing multiple incidents of serious violations of Twitch’s Terms of Service.”

Receiving the email when he woke up, Gross Gore immediately made a video reacting to the ban. He explained that Twitch told him he had shared images of a nude person without their consent.

“I don’t know what to believe anymore,” Gross Gore said. “They’re bringing up stuff from 2015. I didn’t do anything. I didn’t send her parents any revenge porn. I showed her parents her Instagram account. That was back in 2015. I don’t know why this is happening.”

I really do belive @Twitch has made a mistake/decision
banning me & I would appreicate any retweet’s to get this video heard by the right people.

I don’t know what to say anymore.
I feel nothing.

Gross Gore noted that he understands that Twitch is “trying to protect people,” but feels the platform has made a mistake. He said he is “used to this happening” throughout his career.

“It was going so, so well… I figured something is about to happen. Someone out there doesn’t want to see us succeed. But I love streaming. This time around I’m just going to start streaming on YouTube tomorrow,” Gross Gore said.

What happened to Gross Gore?

Gross Gore believes that Twitch’s decision to ban his account is due to an incident that happened in 2015. At the time he was dating a woman named Celestia Vega, who he said was 18 at the time. According to Gross Gore, the situation was a misunderstanding and he never shared revenge porn against her consent. Instead, Gross Gore claims that he “showed her mom her Instagram account on a USB.”

But earlier this week, Vega shared a video about the situation in which she said that Gross Gore did indeed share private images of her. She had been receiving a lot of “hate” after Gross Gore made a video about her without asking her about it first.

“I find it very interesting that, when everybody is speaking about me, nobody consults me when I was the person in that situation. If you’re going to make a video detailing our relationship, ask me if that’s okay first and ask me for details first,” Vega said. “I’m so tired of people posting things about me and things about me without my consent. I’m really tired of it, quite honestly.”

my long response to a video made about me, which I was not consulted on prior to it being posted. i am very tired and would like to be left out of this situation after this because it feels like a re-run of 2016 for me (which is traumatizing) but i hope this clears things up. pic.twitter.com/uInU6VeETC

In some audio clips Vega shared, she claims that during this time she was “berated” by Gross Gore online for cheating on him, even though he had been cheating on her with as many as eight different women. Vega said it was traumatizing to find out about her relationship. She also stated that she was 17 during the time they dated.

“I don’t know if the revenge porn stuff that was put out afterward was actually legit sent to my house on that flash drive. I don’t know. But either way, my entire family was contacted, including my parents and brother, and they were sent it online before I started doing sex work,” Vega said. “These were things privately sent.”

Vega said that the videos and photos leaked online, including an entire website made with the media, led her to do sex work. Her family also stopped talking to her for three years.

“I was tired of streaming and having people tell me that they saw what I looked like naked. I figured I could gain control if I did it myself. I look back and I regret so much, truly. But I wanted to give you guys my side. I don’t want to answer more questions about this, quite honestly. It’s not a fun situation to think about for me because of what it caused,” Vega concluded.

It’s possible that Twitch caught wind of Vega’s side of the story and realized she was underage when Gross Gore leaked the photos, which is what led to them permanently banning his account.

Gross Gore is no stranger to Twitch bans

Gross Gore was banned from the streaming platform in 2018 when the streamer was accused of sexual harassment. After RuneFest 2018, multiple attendees came forward to reveal that Gross Gore had harassed them or physically assaulted them. He was banned from Twitch for 30 days about a week after those victims came forward.

Gross Gore denied the claims at the time. He said he just had a “flirty personality.”

In a follow-up tweet after the situation, Gross Gore claimed that the ban was for a clip of him “crawling on my knees” at RuneFest.

No, I’m not allowed to stream on YouTube (confirmed just now by Twitch) as I’m still under Partner Contract.
Just to clarify I wasn’t banned for the allegations, but banned for a clip of me at the event crawling on my knees as this was deemed as harassment.

Gross Gore also claimed in a since-deleted video that Twitch wanted to permanently ban him for his behavior but that someone had “stepped up” and wouldn’t let it happen. That was Gross Gore’s second time being banned, with the first time being when he was initially accused of sharing revenge porn of Vega.

For now, Gross Gore is permanently banned from the platform and will likely be attempting to build up a new following on YouTube.
