After a lengthy investigation into domestic violence allegations aimed at Seon-Woo “Infiltration” Lee, Capcom and Panda Global have announced sanctions on the pro fighting games player.

On its website, Capcom announced that Infiltration will be barred from competing in Capcom Pro Tour events through the end of the 2019 season. This includes the 2018 Capcom Cup Finals, an event which Infiltration was scheduled to compete in.

“As a result of our evaluation, we felt it necessary to take appropriate disciplinary action against Infiltration,” Capcom said in the statement. “In acknowledgment of a first offense, he has voluntarily withdrawn himself from competition for the agreed upon period…A second offense will result in a lifetime ban from participating in all future Capcom Pro Tour events.”

In addition to being barred from official Capcom tournaments for the next year, Infiltration has been released by Panda Global. The organization released a statement on its handling of the situation and explained its reasons for the decision.

In September, an anonymous Reddit user made a series of allegations about Infiltration and a domestic violence incident which occurred in October 2017. In response to this, Panda Global launched an investigation into the claims, and suspended Infiltration from competition pending its completion.

Panda Global confirmed Infiltration had previously been charged with “violence” and paid a fine for it. This fact was ultimately the catalyst for the organization’s decision to release him.

Following the announcements of Capcom and Panda Global, Infiltration released a statement of his own through the organization in which he confirmed his withdrawal from the Capcom Cup final before claiming innocence.

Infiltration is not currently scheduled to compete in any tournaments. At this time, he would be eligible to return to the Capcom Pro Tour in 2020.
