Episode 3 Act 1 is bringing a lot of big changes to Valorant, including new agent KAY/O and some impactful nerfs that will affect the meta. Most of the changes revolve around the cost of abilities and ultimates. Many weapons in the game will also see price changes.

While Riot Games has not officially released patch notes on these changes, the details have been collected from the latest Valorant update. These changes will be seen on June 22 when Episode 3, Act 1 comes to Valorant. The official patch notes should be released before that date.

Agent ability price changes in Episode 3 Act 1

Each of Valoran’ts agents has a kit made up of abilities and ultimates. Most of them can be purchased during the buy phase of each round. This ensures that players have to find a good balance between their agent’s abilities and weapons of choice to support their team’s strategy. Other abilities are gained through kills during the game itself. Both types of abilities will see changes in Episode 3 Act 1, most likely changing how players utilize each agent.

These are the expected changes lined up for each agent’s abilities and costs. As you can see, it’s a long list of changes that could have far-reaching consequences in the game.

Weapon price changes coming in Episode 3 Act 1

Each weapon has a price that reflects how useful and powerful the gun is. For example, the Operator is easily the most expensive weapon in the game since it’s often considered to be the strongest weapon, capable of taking down fully-equipped opponents with one thunderous shot. But many weapons are seeing price changes in Episode 3 Act 1 in an attempt to balance the weapons, and also to correspond to the upcoming changes in ability prices.

Most weapons are having their cost reduced, but there is one notable exception. The powerful Judge shotgun, long a thorn in the side of many Valorant players, will actually be made more expensive with the new update. Its price will now be very similar to that of the Bulldog, and it will cost more than twice the price of the Bucky shotgun.
