This Eight Locales event guide will get you free Primogems
This Eight Locales event guide will get you free Primogems
Eight Locales Over Mountains and Seas may seem a little confusing at first glance, but following our Genshin Impact event guide will earn more than a handful of free Primogems in Genshin Impact.
The newest Genshin Impact event is a great way for experienced players to earn free Primogems and weapon ascension materials. Unlike most events, this week’s goal is to commune with Inazuma’s tanuki spirit and show him the wonders of the world. To initiate the event, speak with Ioroi at the foot of Mt. Yougou. He’s the tanuki spirit trapped in a stone statue with another tanuki resting on his belly.
True to its name, Eight Locales tasks players with visiting eight different locations across the world of Teyvat. The first day, for example, takes place at the foot of Dragonspine in Monstadt. At each location, the traveler and Paimon will share a conversation with Kichiboushi, a friendly tanuki. The tanuki of Inazuma have a strange sense of morality compared to humans. Part of the fun of the event is learning about Kichiboushi’s worldviews and how they compare to the human norm. Tanuki magic also provides some entertainment.
Once there, players will have to interact with Kichiboushi about the outside world. Sometimes this involves playing the tanuki prop hunt game, but sometimes it just takes a simple converstaion. During these shenanigans, players must take a picture of Kichiboushi to prove the travels to Ioroi. After following our event guide, Eight Locales Over Mountains and Seas will reward 30 Primogems and some extra goodies every day.
Release schedule and rewards guide for Eight Locales Over Mountains and Seas
Following our Eight Locales event guide will net 270 Primogems over the course of the week. That’s not a whole lot, but the missions are easy to do and also provide Inazuma talent books. Any player
saving up for Yae Miko
in update 2.5 will appreciate these free pulls. The same is true for anyone looking forward to the
Raiden Shogun and Sangonomiya Kokomi reruns
that will follow the release of Yae Miko.
A new mission for Eight Locales Over Mountains and Seas will come out every day on server reset until Saturday, February 12. There’s no benefit to doing the event missions as soon as they come out, so waiting until February 12 to accomplish all the missions is a valid strategy. It will encourage skipping through the entertaining conversations, but lore-averse players shouldn’t miss out on anything major if they don’t feel like reading.
