Team SoloMid was able to pull the highest average viewership during the first-ever LCS Lock In tournament.Â
Even though TSM didn’t make it all the way to the finals of the LCS Lock In, the team was the most popular when looking at the viewership numbers. On average, TSM had 253,520 viewers over the course of seven matches in the LCS Lock In according to Esports Charts.Â

Right behind TSM are finalists Cloud9 and Team Liquid, who also had a lot of average viewers during their games. Cloud9 had an average of 246,623 viewers thanks to its strong following and the signing of former G2 Esports star Luka “Perkz” Perković, who debuted with the team during the tournament.Â
Surprisingly, Counter Logic Gaming and Dignitas come in at the fourth and fifth-highest average viewers, respectively, after shaky tournaments from both of them. Both teams were knocked out of the group stage, finishing last in their respective groups. The high average viewership could be explained by the fact that they only got to play four games each, which makes the sample size smaller compared to other teams. Looking at the total hours watched, CLG and Dignitas are sitting at the bottom while C9 the highest by far thanks to their above-average viewership and long run in the event.Â
For peak viewership, the LCS Lock In final between C9 and Team Liquid tops the chart. The final peaked at 370,801 viewers. Right behind the finals at 344,567 peak viewers is the tournament opener between TSM and 100 Thieves.Â
The overall viewership of all games was boosted nicely by all the co-streams surrounding the tournament. Big names such as Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng, Nick “LS” Cesare, and Christian “IWillDominate” Rivera broadcasted the event and pulled a lot of viewers to add onto the total.Â
With the LCS Lock In concluded, all 10 LCS teams will be preparing for the spring season, which starts on February 5.Â
