A trusted source has revealed some potential new characters coming to the ever-growing MultiVersus roster.
MultiVersus is a hit new platform fighter featuring characters from a variety of Warner Bros properties. The roster features classics like Bugs Bunny, superheroes like Batman, and cartoon characters like Fin and Jake from Adventure Time. It looks like even more characters are on the way from other big movies and television shows, according to Mysleaks.
Over the weekend, Mysleaks shared some allegedly datamined characters and voice lines. The extensive list included fan favorite icons, but Mysleaks warned MultiVersus players that some listed characters may just be mentioned in voice lines, meaning there’s no guarantee they will be added to the game’s playable character roster, only that they’re coming to MultiVersus in some form.
The prominent and trusted MultiVersus leaker shared a large list of characters datamined from the platform fighter. Some standouts include Joker from DC, Gandalf from Lord of the Rings, Eleven from Stranger Things, Godzilla, and Beetlejuice.
The possible addition of cartoon royalty like Scooby-Doo, DC’s Raven, and Marvin from Looney Tunes has the game’s community riled up. But one of the most stand-out characters on the list is Eleven from Stranger Things. Stranger Things is not a Warner Bros property, suggesting the potential for even broader crossovers.
The idea of Eleven being in MultiVersus is most definitely interesting, and it means that MultiVersus is possibly open to bigger crossovers in general. This could open up the roster to almost any potential character players can think of.
The next confirmed characters coming to MultiVersus are Rick and Morty. The scientist and his teenage sidekick are arriving as part of Season 1. Morty is coming August 8, followed by Rick later in the season.
The FGC is excited for the addition of Rick and Morty, but are already pleading for their own favorites to join the roster. Popular suggestions include characters from Regular Show or Courage the Cowardly Dog.
