The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe release date marks the return of the non-Euclidean officescape, bumbling protagonist Stanley, and the sweet tones of narrator Kevin Brighting.

The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe is finally on its way after repeated delays. WIth a release slated for April 27, fans have a lot to be excited for. The new version promises to maintain all of the content from the original along with a massive amount of new content including multiple new endings. On top of that, the game promises exciting changes to titular protagonist Stanley.

The Stanley Parable first became available on October 17, 2013. It was one of the first major postmodern video game releases to see widespread acclaim and popular success. The Stanley Parable relies on the audience’s perception of video games as a medium in order to achieve its goals. This makes it largely incomprehensible to people unfamiliar with video games, but humorous and introspective for those who are.

Ultra Deluxe aims to breathe new life into the release with new endings, content, and graphical upgrades. Here is when it will finally become available after multiple delays and what new content fans can expect.

Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe finally gets a release date

The current planned release date for The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe edition is April 27, 2022. That is the date currently listed on the Steam page for the game and sent out in new marketing materials.

Ultra Deluxe was first announced in 2018 with an expected release date sometime in the following year. It was quickly delayed to 2020 before going radio-silent for several months. The introduction of travel restrictions may have affected GalacticCafe and CrowsCrowsCrows’ productivity on the title. The current planned release date was officially announced in late 2021.

What’s new in The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe?

The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe Edition will add new endings, fresh content, and a bevy of accessibility features to the classic non-linear adventure game.

The biggest addition to the game is content, with new endings and routes for players to find. The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe has also been redesigned from the ground up with modern graphical standards in mind. Lastly, but perhaps most importantly, the game has also added tons of accessibility features such as an on-screen text reader and colorblind mode to help more players thoroughly enjoy the postmodern classic.

As for its endings, developer CrowsCrowsCrows has not revealed a total endings count for the updated version of the game. The original Stanley Parable sported 19 different endings each based on various actions and reactions from the player. While not officially revealed, it is safe to expect at least six new additions to the potential endings. How and when players can access these new endings is still a complete mystery.

What platforms with The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe be on?

The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe Edition will be available on all of the following platforms.

  • Linux
  • Mac
  • Nintendo Switch
  • PC
  • PlayStation 4 and 5
  • Xbox One and Series

When it was released in 2013, The Stanley Parable was only available on PC. This is mostly due to the small scale of its production, but it is also tied into the game’s themes of player agency and control. By limiting itself to a more core audience, The Stanley Parable ensured that its jokes and references would land. Now that gaming as a whole is more mainstream, console players will be able to get in on the fun just the same as PC players.
