Soulbound class comes to Teamfight Tactics with patch 9.24
Teamfight Tactics has been updated with patch 9.24, the final patch of the year. The patch added a new Soulbound class together with Senna, Lucian, and Amumu. Improvements to the interface and some balance changes were implemented as well.
Riot Games announced that the new class featuring Senna and Lucian will be joining the second TFT set a few weeks ago. The two new units, alongside Amumu, are now available to play. Using both Lucian and Senna will give players a trait that turns the first of the two champions to die into an untargetable spirit that continues to fight on until the other is also eliminated.
Soulbound units Senna and Lucian join the TFT board with Amumu
Senna is a tier two unit of the Shadow origin. Similarly to her Piercing Darkness in League of Legends, her ability fires a beam to the furthest ally, damaging all enemies the beam hits on the way, as well as buffing allies’ on-hit damage for five seconds. Although the ability deals damage, Senna is made to be a defensive unit that helps her allies shine.
Senna will work amazingly with Lucian. Lucian’s origin is Light, and he is a single-target DPS that costs four gold. His ability, The Culling, fires four normal attacks that stack with his AD. As the ability applies on-hits, Lucian can be greatly buffed by Senna’s ability.
Last but not least is Amumu, the only new tier five unit. He belongs to the Warden class and is of the Inferno origin. He was a much needed addition to Infernals as he provides the origin with a tanky frontliner. Curse of the Sad Mummy will see Amumu’s rage explode, dealing damage and stunning enemies around him.
TFT patch 9.24 brings several minor changes to units and traits
Most of the traits were tweaked with minor balance changes as well. Since Senna has been added to the game, Shadows needed an increase of units needed for its bonus from 2/4 to 3/6. Otherwise, getting to the highest damage boost the trait offers would’ve been too easily achievable.
Champions met the same fate, with minor updates for their stats. As Lux hasn’t always been considered as a purchase worth her cost, her ability damage at earlier levels has been significantly buffed for the price of lower total mana pool.
New interface updates, a few item changes, and new bug fixes were also implemented with the patch. Full notes are available
