Riot Games is going back on its decision to remove Little Legends from ARAM, game director Andrei “Meddler” van Roon revealed on Twitter.
On June 19, Riot shared its plans to remove Little Legends from ARAM with patch 10.15. According to the announcement, Little Legends ruin the visual clarity of the game and not many players were interested in buying these characters specifically for ARAM. On top of that, following the required restrictions take away some of the design freedom around Little Legends, since developers must keep in mind how Little Legends interact with ARAM.
Riot offered refunds for players who never played a single game of TFT and only used Little Legends in ARAM. This condition significantly limits the number of players who can get refunds. Little Legends were originally promoted as features of both TFT and ARAM. Players had a negative reaction to the announcement and conditions for the refunds, and asked Riot to reconsider its decision.
Four days after the announcement, Riot has decided to hold back on the change.
Update on LLs and ARAM – we’re putting any changes on hold for now. Based off your feedback we agree our current approach isn’t hitting the mark. Will reassess and get back to you folks with an alternative or modified approach for further discussion.

The main issue that players had with the removal of Little Legends were the refunds. Playing even one game of TFT forfeit player’s right to get a refund. Other players argued that visual clarity isn’t even an issue in ARAM since it’s considered a more casual mode and doesn’t have a ranked system in place. In short, no one is really playing ARAM to be competitive, so clarity isn’t a significant issue the way it might be on Summoner’s Rift.
If you bought Little Legends for ARAM forget about getting your RP back. It’s gone just like that.

As of June 20, after the announcement, the store still promoted the Little Legends eggs as usable in ARAM. Players even considered starting a petition to keep Little Legends in ARAM. Luckily for them, Riot is not going through with the removal just yet.
Possible solutions might include having all of the Little Legends in use relegated to the side of the map.
