New skins are coming soon for League of Legends, this time with bees in focus.

A preview of three new skins has been released on Riot Games’ social media, including bee skins for Yuumi, Malzahar, and Kog’Maw. The skins are pretty straightforward, representing each champion with a bee costume in one way or another. Yuumi is presented in a cute bee costume, while Kog’Maw has been transferred into a real bee and auto-attacking with honey. For Malzahar, the void champion has been transformed into a bee master who is able to spawn bee voidlings.

According to the official tweet, the three skins will have a bee twist to the name. The skins will be Yuubee, Beezahar, and Bee’Maw, and will be “sweeter than honey.” The new skins are very different from what Riot has previously presented in 2021 and will in many ways be a much more humoristic addition to the game.

So far in 2021, Riot has presented Lunar Beast, Crystal Rose, and Withered Rose skins, all with a more serious theme. For the bee skins, the tables are turning a bit and give players some more jolly skins to play around with on Summoner’s Rift and Howling Abyss.

Even though the skins give a less serious vibe, they are still high quality and provide each champion with new in-game effects. The skins will be joining up with the already existing Beemo and Beekeeper Singed skins.

The new bee skins are expected to be available for testing on the Public Beta Environment (PBE) very soon.

When will the LoL bee skins be released?

As the bee skins are hitting PBE shortly, it’s expected that Riot will test them out for a couple of weeks before releasing. The expected release of the three new bee skins will be on Wednesday, March 3, with patch 11.5.
