Top Esports has won the PUBG Mobile Club Open Spring Split Global Finals.

The international PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Mobile event was held in Berlin and saw the Chinese squad take home the $180,000 top prize. They took that spot with a 344-point effort across 16 games. It was a strong showing from Top Esports, who stood tall atop a field that included teams from Asia, Europe, and the Americas.

The PUBG Mobile Club Open showcases the best players from ten regions across the globe. Teams fight for their spot in the spring and fall splits through prelims, with the winners of regional tournaments being invited to the finals directly.

27 teams fought for a piece of the event’s $400,000 prize pool, with China asserting itself as the powerhouse region of PUBG Mobile. Besides Top Esports taking the win, Chinese squads also took second and third place with X-Quest and Elite Esports scoring 324 and 282 points, respectively. X-Quest took home $50,000 for their efforts while Elite Esports won $45,000.

A Thai player Pachachai “G9” Han, who plays for RRQ Athena, was voted as Twitter Fan Favorite, while Team Soul’s Indian captain Naman “MortaL” Mathur got the Website Fan Favorite Player award.

The director of PUBG Mobile Global Esports at Tencent Games, James Yang shared that this year’s spring split had four times higher viewership in comparison to the 2018 PUBG Mobile Star Challenge Global Finals, the first major PUBG Mobile international tournament.

The company also shared important announcements during the event, including the launch of 2020 PUBG Mobile World League. Additionally, the community was excited to find out that the game’s first map Erangel is getting a visual and quality-of-life update. Finally, they also revealed a crossover event featuring PUBG Mobile and popular horror series The Walking Dead.

Registrations for the PUBG Mobile Club Open Fall Split will be open to all players starting August 8.
