PUBG LITE beta test available in South Asia and Latin America
The PUBG LITE beta test service is now available in South Asia and Latin America.
Players from countries including India, Pakistan, Chile, Columbia, and Peru will not only have access to the beta test, but will also be given rewards for pre-registering. This has been a long-awaited event, according to the official press release from PUBG LITE.

PUBG LITE is a battle royale shooter that can be played smoothly and reliably on low-end PCs. Inspired heavily by PUBG Mobile, PUBG LITE has been marketed as a “more accessible” version of the original PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds that is available on PC while still offering the “authentic PUBG experience.”
According to an article by
India Today, the gameplay experience is a mixture of the original PUBG for PC and the newer PUBG Mobile.
“I spent a lot of hours in PUBG [and] it’s a struggle for a casual gamer like me. The almost realistic physics and simulation require real fighting instincs to manage to reach the top standings. On the other hand, PUBG Mobile is joyous, with an easier gameplay style. But the physics and watered down graphics at times make players want the same experience in a better package,” technology journalist Amritanshu Mukherjee said.
For him, PUBG LITE hits the “sweet spot” in between both games.
He mentioned that he was also notified of where incoming damage was coming from, much like in PUBG Mobile. The mini-map shows the positioning of enemy players, which is helpful for casual gamers. He also felt that the modified controls were easier to learn and master.
But one of the most noteable differences between PUBG and PUBG LITE is the graphics. PUBG LITE doesn’t require as much graphic capabilities as the original title, which was the original issue that PUBG was hoping to solve.
The free-to-play game was created for low-end computers, with a significant reduction in graphic details. PUBG LITE is meant to be played in regions where the original game’s minimum specifications would be difficult for the average player to achieve.
Hardcore fans of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds might not find what they’re looking for in the new version of the game, but those previously unsure about playing could find a great point of entry in PUBG LITE.
