Reading time: 3 min

In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet The Teal Mask DLC, completing the Kitakami Pokedex offers a fulfilling experience for dedicated trainers. The region, introduced in this expansion, is home to 200 unique Pokemon, including new evolution lines and Legendaries. Completing this Pokedex requires significant time and effort. And players must track down both familiar faces and version-exclusive Pokémon. However, the rewards for this accomplishment make the challenge worth undertaking.

Special rewards for completing Kitakami Pokedex

Once the Kitakami Pokedex is completed, players can visit Jacq, the in-game biology teacher, for a special reward. Trainers can find him in the eastern part of Mossui Town, near the bridge, under a tree. Upon speaking to Jacq, he congratulates the trainer and provides a certificate along with a unique item: the Glimmering Charm. This charm serves a significant purpose for the game’s late stages, especially for trainers keen on enhancing their Pokemon teams.

Firstly, the Glimmering Charm grants an increased reward of Tera Shards upon the completion of Tera Raid Battles. These shards are used to change a Pokemon’s Tera Type at the Treasure Eatery in Medali, allowing trainers to further customize their battle strategies. The number of Tera Shards awarded depends on the star rating of the Raid Battle. The number of shards awarded are as follows:

  • 3-Star Raid
    • 2 shards
  • 4-Star Raid
    • 5 shards
  • 5-Star Raid
    • 10 shards
  • 6-Star Raid
    • 12 shards

However, it’s important to note that the charm does not apply to 1-star, 2-star, or 7-star Raid Battles.
